NFL : During the Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day game, DaRon Bland made history by using it as his platform.
With his fifth pick-six of the season on Thursday against the Commanders, the Cowboys cornerback avoided several pursuing tacklers while making a 63-yard return to pay ground, setting a new NFL single-season record.
“To have the fans, the family, the coaches there and do it on Thanksgiving Day is another thing to be thankful for,” Bland told CBS following the game. “I had to go get the ball when I spotted it on that play and the receiver doing an out route. After that, I could only see an open field.”

According to NFL Research, Bland’s huge play also propelled the second-year cornerback to the top of the Cowboys franchise record for career pick-sixes.

Ever since, Hardy has become one of the best defensive playmakers in the league.
As of right now, the season, he has 48 tackles as well as 13 passes defensed, and 7 interceptions.
Since Week 1, Bland has never gone more than two matches without a defensive touchdowns. He still has six games left in the regular season to try to add to his incredible total.
