MADRID (AP) — In the second round of the Copa del Rey on Wednesday, struggling La Liga team Almeria was defeated 1-0 by fourth-division club Barbastro.

The small club from northeastern Spain advanced to the next round thanks to a goal from Franc Carbonell in the 28th minute.

The outcome exacerbated Almeria’s problems for the season. In 17 games across all competitions, the Saudi-owned team has only triumphed once, that being against Talavera, a third-division team, in the previous Copa round.

After 15 rounds in the Spanish league, Almeria is the only team without a win, having suffered 11 losses and 4 draws. With four points, it is in last place, seven points behind the top team outside the relegation zone. Eleventh-place Rayo Vallecano in the Spanish league needed two goals in the last minutes to defeat Yeclano, a team in the fourth division, 2-0. Raúl de Tomás scored in stoppage time, and Radamel Falcao scored in the 89th.

On Tuesday, Valencia, Villarreal, and Getafe triumphed over teams from the lower division.
