Chipotle is feeding you your Travis Kelce obsession with no autocorrect on the side.
With a noticeable alteration to one of its franchise sites, Chipotle honored the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his recently revealed old tweets on Nov. 20.
Fans of the massive fast-casual restaurant chain and correct spelling may have noticed that the sign at 4151 Sterling Ave., Suite B, Kansas City, MO 64133 now says “Chipolte” rather than “Chipotle.”
The deliberate typo is a reference to a tweet written by Kelce that went viral last week on X, the website that used to be known as Twitter, as the world continued to go crazy about the NFL star’s developing romance with singer Taylor Swift.
Went from class to therapy, now I need some #chipolte and then I'm off to check out my new apt!!

In April 2011, Kelce tweeted, “Went from class to therapy, now I need some #chipolte and then I’m off to check out my new apt.”
After gaining renewed traction, the tweet currently has over a thousand shares and close to 4,000 likes. According to a review of his previous tweets, between 2009 and 2011, he referred to the chain as “Chipolte” a total of roughly 15 times.
In an email to TODAY.com, Erin Wolford, Vice President of External Communications at Chipotle Mexican Grill, Inc., reaffirmed that the modification was official.
According to Wolford’s remark, “we knew there was a chance for us to organically take part in an authentic way when Travis Kelce’s old tweets referring the brand starting resurfacing on X.”
She continued, “We decided to keep the winning streak going for our fans by renaming a local Kansas City, Missouri, restaurant as a nod to ‘the guy on the Chiefs’ prior to last night’s game because our response was one of our top doing posts on the platform this year.” She was referring to the Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles game on November 21.
